The Swiss army knife for street lighting
The RDS-LIGHT solution is a solution for controlling and monitoring public lighting. It helps to reduce energy bills while simplifying the operation of lighting and improving service to citizens.
Developed with local authorities, operators and maintainers to meet the challenges of relevant centralised management, this solution offers a way of meeting today's economic and environmental challenges.
Benefits of the RDS-LIGHT solution

Reduced operating costs
Real-time remote control reduces the need for on-site maintenance with faster, carbon-free maintenance, control of consumption and automatic detection of faults.

Reduced energy bills
The smart astronomical clock, combined with the Lamp@Ville remote management application, enables lights to be switched on and off, automatically or on demand, at the right time and in the right place.

Easy to install and operate
No need to install new network infrastructure: RDS-Light technology uses the existing FM radio network. A single, easy-to-use application controls everything. The boxes in the RDS-LIGHT range are installed in the cabinet or on the lighting column, replacing your old equipment.

Better citizen service
With the integration of environmental sensors (rain, light, wind, etc.), the lighting automatically adapts to climatic conditions to provide the best possible lighting while maintaining a high quality service.

Tailor-made, scalable services
The RDS-LIGHT solution adapts to your needs over time, so that you get the best solution at the lowest cost, making the most of existing resources.
Use cases for the RDS-LIGHT solution
For consistent, centralised control across a community. Instantly modify operation.
Use environmental sensors to condition operation
Switch on when it gets dark in the evening, switch off when it gets light. Switch on again at night if weather conditions are bad (fog, heavy rain, storm).
Receive daily analysis reports
Receive currents by phase (network balancing, current peaks)
Analyse drift (over-consumption, under-consumption...)
Receive real-time alerts by e-mail or text message
Outgoing feeder fault/disconnection alert
Door opening detection
Forced operation detection (configurable)
Maintenance alert
We adapt our solution to your needs: integration with your CMS tools, data transfer via secure APIs, implementation of complex lighting scenarios, integration of new types of sensors, etc.
Do you have other use cases that you would like to implement? Thanks to the flexibility of our solution, Biyotee can add functional building blocks to meet your needs.
Modules in RDS-LIGHT product range
The RDS-LIGHT 4R controller

The RDS-LIGHT 4R box has been designed for installation in public lighting cabinets. It contains an smart local astronomical clock, as well as a measurement card that warns of several possible alerts: cabinet failure alert, disjunction alert, forced operation alert, etc.
It has four controllable relays, and can operate in two different modes: autonomous radio-synchronised mode or controlled mode using the Lamp@ville web application.
Its downlink network is controlled through an exclusive partnership with Radio France. For supervision and data feedback, you can choose the reliability of the Sigfox operated network, or the flexibility of your own LorA network.
The RDS-LIGHT CANDEE controller

The Candee box is a more compact version of the RDS-LIGHT 4R box, designed for enclosures or light points. It offers two different operating modes.
The Candee can be used for festive illuminations, or to highlight heritage features. Like the 4R box, the Candee can operate in two different modes: stand-alone, radio-synchronised mode, or controlled using the Lamp@Ville web application.
It also works with Radio France's RDS/FM network, and is available in a Sigfox or LoRa version for monitoring purposes.
The Zhagalee controller

The Zhagalee controller is installed at the lighting point, on a Zhaga Book 18 connector. The antennas are integrated into the module.
The Zhagalee module can independently control four outputs, to which it applies dimming scenarios configured in Lamp@Ville. For example: differentiated dimming by spotlight during night-time shutdown.
The Zhagalee module can monitor up to six projectors: it sends alerts to Lamp@Ville in the event of inconsistent operation with respect to the programming. These alerts are then sent via email or text message, depending on your requirements.
The module also reports operating information on the monitored drivers.
The Lamp@Ville application

The Lamp@ville web application enables real-time control and supervision of RDS-Light units via the web. It helps to simplify and optimise public lighting!
The application is compatible with all units in the RDS-LIGHT range. The control section of the application lets you programme different lighting services for each group of units. It can also be used to adapt your lighting to exceptional events.
The application's monitoring feature allows you to check the status of your public lighting network in real time. It also enables accurate fault detection.
How the RDS-LIGHT solution works
How does it work?
You can programme the lighting services of your choice: permanent, temporary, enhancement, festive lighting, etc., integrating data from external sensors (luminosity, rain, wind).
Lamp@Ville transmits on/off commands on the appropriate network (FM/RDS, fibre) to the RDS-LIGHT boxes.
You create groups by functional coherence. For example: periphery, hyper-centre, schools, etc.
When you install a box, you assign it to a group. To reprogram a neighbourhood, simply change the group.
The boxes transmit their data and alarms via the Sigfox (or LoRaWan) network to the server.
The Lamp@Ville application automatically transmits e-mail and SMS alerts based on the data received from the units (disconnection, mains cut, door opening, local forced operation, etc.).
You are informed in real time of the state of your fleet and send your teams where they are needed, when they are needed. If you need to, you can modify the lighting services.
Urgent requests
For local authorities that use night-time extinguishing and wish to facilitate the work of emergency/rescue services.

The ‘Urgent Requests’ feature allows teams working in the field to turn back on neighbourhoods that have been switched off, depending on their needs: whether it be the municipal police, the national police, the gendarmerie or the fire brigade.
As public lighting managers, you can transform your lighting policy without compromising the safety of your fellow citizens.·nes.
Lighting tailored to the intervention
The person making the request can choose the duration of the reactivation: 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc., at the end of the night-time shutdown. The neighbourhood is switched back on for the requested period. Before the end of the lighting period, a notification is sent to the person making the request, offering them the option of extending the lighting period if the intervention takes longer than necessary.
The resilience of proven networks!
The solution is based on reliable, non-congestible networks – an essential quality in the event of a major incident such as an attack or natural disaster.
Unrivalled latency on the market
Restore lighting to an entire neighbourhood, synchronised, in less than a minute and a half!
Can be used directly from your mobile phone
The ‘Urgent Requests’ map can be accessed directly and easily on your smartphone, with a built-in geolocation feature.
